Advanced Muscle Palpation Advanced Muscle Palpation is an applied muscle palpation technique, and a tonal approach to the analysis of vertebral subluxation offering a unique insight regarding vertebral position and thus proper line of correction. This style of muscle palpation was first used by Reggie Gold, DC, he called it vertebraille. Advanced Muscle Palpation is based upon an analysis of the tone of specific para-spinal muscles in response to proprioceptive input from the central nervous system.
Our Mission To Connect with, Encourage and Inspire others to become exceptional
Advanced Muscle Palpation is the art of evaluating paravertebral muscle reflex response to a loss of proper vertebral joint alignment and subsequent restriction. Para-spinal muscles of the spine are highly proprioceptive due to inherent muscle spindles, Ruffian and Pacinian fibers. This proprioceptive response causes a subtle increased tone of para-spinal muscles as the body attempts to maintain proper joint alignment. Advanced Muscle Palpation is especially suited for our pediatric population. While most spinal analysis is limited for our pediatric patients, Advanced Muscle Palpation is a reliable analysis system for the DC.
